“Well yeah, the fact that a lot of people are completely fucking stupid is a big problem in this country.”
I think the editors of Sadly, No! are, sadly, correct once again. All sorts of people are peeved about this week's cover of The New Yorker. Even Atrios had to start dithering about it in his usual post-doctoral squarehead way.
Criticism keeps taking the form of “I get that it’s satire, but—”, which is what everyone says when they don't get something because they have this large mass of piety wedged up their ass.
There is actually a serious point to be made here but now I'm just too bored.
