Campaign ZZZzz

Stephen Harper kicks off his campaign with a crucial sartorial decision. He puts on a turtleneck!

Stephen Harper wants to get tough on drugs! "The drug problem is reaching into our parks, our streets and even our churches, he said." Yes, our churches. What churches are those? Is there some new religion I'm not aware of? Years ago there was a book called The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross, in which it was argued that Jesus and his friends ate magic mushrooms or something. It was a crazy book and very difficult to read. I don't think it inspired many Christians to experiment with contolled substances as an auxilliary to the liturgy though.

Then again, there is the example of soma-quaffing in some Vedic literature. But I don't think anyone knows what soma really is.

Anyway, if drug-taking is such a big problem in Canada's churches, surely the sensible thing would be to close them until they can "clean up their act".
