Holidays

Apparently today is the shortest day of the year, according to some guy with a loud voice in the courtyard. He meant that there would be very little sunlight today.

Lots of people don't like coming home from work when it's dark out, because it seems as if the whole day is gone. What you could do is inaugurate seasonal flexitime, whereby people could work a bit longer in the summer months, say an hour or so every day, and that way they could go home around 3:00 (or earlier) at the height of winter. Production would increase, consumer confidence would flourish like the green bay tree, etc.

The picture to the right is a view of a place of work. You could copy and paste it into Paintbrush and assemble a whole city of these units, if you were bored.

Watching TV is a good way to tear yourself away from the computer.
