Debates Update 


There was a second debate among party leaders tonight, this time in French. It's interesting because in French Mr Harper sounds rather sympathetic, not unlike Forrest Gump. Gilles Duceppe comes across as modest and reasonable rather than borg-like. Paul Martin is still the dithery Paul Martin. Jack Layton sems to be promising all Canadians an affordable mustache. After a few minutes of watching I started to wonder what it would be like if all the participants had mustaches.

I think that's what was missing from the event, purely as a piece of television.
