Disappearing Landmarks

According to Forward, in a note about the passing of a landmark, "There's hardly any room left for a tolerant place like the Second Avenue Deli." I think cities are gradually becoming a bit more like Holiday Inn, so that future travelers needn't worry about stumbling across anything for which they are unprepared. They would still be able to find all the interesting things that make up a successful visit to an exotic place, except these things would be rationalized and, as far as possible, incredibly convenient. There should also be an interpretation centre nearby so they'll know what it is they're looking at.

I see there is to be a scheduled outrage on this computer system. I wonder how bad it will be?

Watching TV is a good way to tear yourself away from the computer.
