The Most Dangerous Game

I don't see this in the English part of the CBC, but apparently Stephen Harper refused to meet Brigitte Bardot, who had come all this way to talk to him about the seal hunt, because he saw no need to be photographed with her for "publicity". What's that supposed to mean? He wasn't expected to debate her in public; all he had to do was receive her politely. It might have taken the heat off a bit. But I think he just wants to look fierce and intransigent or something.

Of course if people like Paul McCartney and Brigitte Bardot really cared about cruelty to animals, they would call for a ban on fishing, a much bigger industry and every bit as cruel. Did you know that when people eat lobster they actually boil them alive?!

Once the fishing industry was thoroughly dismantled, it would free up a lot of able-bodied young people to join the armed forces and be sent off to become hunters of men!
