Among other things, there's an interesting bit here: “government wants universities to crack down on extremism, and the document says campus staff should volunteer information to special branch and not wait to be contacted by detectives.” What's really behind that? Is it reasonable to think that the police are treating the whole terrorist thing the way they treat vandalism of public property? Is it reasonable to think that Special Branch really want to hear from all and sundry about Asian-looking people acting all suspicious in the cafeteria? H'm. It's more likely just another move to create an unpleasant atmosphere of mistrust and fear throughout the country. So that's okay.
