Loser's Guide to Life
Every day I look out for at least one factoid that will keep me busy while I do other things. Here is today's: According to Baedeker's Austria (Leipzig, 1929, plate between p. 492-493), the old spa town Marienbad (Mariánské Lázně) had an establishment called “Café Nimrod”. It appears to be just short of a mile north of the main drag.
If you search for more information about this café you will find nothing but postcards. No history, no nothing. I can hardly believe there is not a café Nimrod in every city.
