Funniest US Supreme Court Gags

Antonin Scalia pooh-poohed the idea of climate change recently in one of those charming offhand comments judges indulge in to make themselves seem disinterested and unworldly. From Huffingtonpost:

Justice Scalia made clear that he's “not a scientist. That's why I don't want to have to deal with global warming, to tell you the truth.”
And apparently, he had them in stitches when he wondered aloud, “I mean, when is the predicted cataclysm?”

However, I think the gag kind of backfires because it makes him look not so much unworldly as cranky and stupid, not unlike the nimrods who infest comments sections. Here is an example from the comments on that piece:

If current global temperatures have risen recently, as I think they have, tell me these 2 things:

1.) How can you proove that the cause is the burning of fossil fuels
2.)How can you proove that the rise in temperature isn't natural and won't naturally correct itself as it has in the past

Maybe it's a bit unkind to make fun of people who can't spell, but the interesting question is: how come people who can't spell are busy trying to discredit scientists in comments sections everywhere?
