Umlauts Helpful, Studies Find

You are probably aware that the word “Umlaut” contains no umlaut, but it acquires one in the plural: Umläuter (umlauts). That's kind of reassuring.

However, it is unusual, though by no means rare, to find more than one umlaut in a word.

If you are looking for something German on Google and can't seem to find much, try adding an umlaut. It seems to help.
