Loser's Guide to Life
People are always complaining about TV or movies. They're disappointed by the infantile subjects and the cardboard realizations.
But with some limits and reservations, TV is what you want to see. The whole thing is a picture of how the viewer imagines the world, because things that don't fit into that picture don't last too long at the network, or don't survive the winnowing process in movie production offices. So people should look upon TV as into a mirror of their public soul. It provides a kind of feedback.
