Aside from all the important news about dumb politicians, there was an interesting item in web development that hasn't received much attention. As everyone knows, Google has applied itself to making every aspect of people's lives a lot more rational and efficient: more Googly, in other words. There's Google Office, Google Docs, iGoogle.
But few were ready for this last week's release of Google Masturbate which is now out there for beta testing. Actually, I think it's been in beta for years now, informally—hence the “I'm Feeling Lucky” button.
