I decided to find out where to vote, since there will be an election soon.
Imagine my surprise when I found out it was to be in the old Olympic Gardens! It's called something else now. There used to be bingo and a flea market inside.
It's the oddest place. I think it used to be a dance hall, back when big bands were common, and, as far as I can tell, it has never been refurbished or redecorated. Those half-walls and upper-gallery seats have been in there since 1948.
Bands still appear there, of course. I don't think they make much impression on the ghosts, though.
