Loser's Guide to Life
Educated Insularity Might Cause Revulsion
Is this supposed to be funny? The Washington Post on Barack Obama's elitism in choosing people from a narrow little circle of the educated:
In a country where politicians often wrap their learning in folksy charm to avoid seeming elitist, his candidacy represented a forthright assertion of intellectual prowess, as he turned his oratory and cerebral demeanor into campaign assets.
Unfortunately, Andy Borowitz already got there in the Huffington Post: Obama's Use of Complete Sentences Stirs Controversy:
According to presidential historian Davis Logsdon of the University of Minnesota, some Americans might find it "alienating" to have a president who speaks English as if it were his first language.
The Washington Post article is not bad. Bit obvious in places, maybe.
